"you know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep, because reality is finally better than your dreams.” -dr. seuss

romantic indie films

while i do love cheesy chic flicks, it’s refreshing to see a more realistic side to relationships. felicity jones and anton yelchin (like crazy) and emma roberts and freddie highmore (the art of getting by) did an excellent job of portraying characters that are complicated and quirky, not cookie-cutter. the plots are uncertain and somewhat unpredictable - most definitely not the fairy tale ending. like crazy questions the compatibility and faithfulness of anna and jacob by throwing them into a long distance relationship. the art of getting by challenges sally and george’s attraction and close friendship with each other among personal and family issues.
