fashion museums.
one reason i loved florence was because of the fashion museums. the fondazione roberto capucci is a tiny museum (more like a gallery) that displays his signature jewel-toned and elaborately ruffled gowns alongside his sketches and some paintings of models wearing his designs. the dresses reminded me of the colorful petals of peonies, roses, and other flowers all over italy. the capucci museum is aptly located in the beautiful bardini gardens.
the gucci museo is amazingly curated with postcards of descriptions and background videos in each section of the museum. it was special to visit the gucci museum, because gucci’s high quality leather goods are originally from the tuscany region. it was very interesting to learn about and see the wide variety of goods that gucci creates from a custom car to jewelry to sports equipment. i found gucci’s floral pattern made specifically for princess grace to be really pretty.
