prettystuff: ysvoice:| ♕ |  Majorca village retreat  | by Tmagazine/NYTimes | via notmybeautifulhome in my women and culture first-year english class, we read a few poems from the lais of marie de france by marie de france. we didn’t read all of them, so over winter break and this summer i decided to finish reading these short french medieval romance tales. it was intriguing to read how the characters dealt with love and relationship issues centuries ago. the courtly love stories range from fairytale-like to comical to the hard truth.
